Why
Fig Tree Ceremonies?
I’ve held a lifelong love of the fig tree and its fruit, for me it ticks almost every sensory box; smell, taste, touch and sight. The Fig Tree is also a spiritual symbol steeped in ancient meaning. It is a symbol for happiness, prosperity, longevity and luck. For Buddhists it’s a symbol of enlightenment, in ancient Egypt it is known as ‘The Tree of Life’. The large roots are thought to represent the past, its trunk the present and the branches the future- and so ‘celebrating the past, present and future’ was born.

I met my soulmate and best friend in my 40's and we married in 2017
I have worked in restaurants and event management, as a Deputy Headteacher, café owner, stylist, buyer, and Reiki Therapist. I lived it up in South Africa for three years and many of the people I met there are still very much in my life today. People say my smile lights up a room and that I put people at ease very quickly.
Emotional intelligence and a calm, kind nature enable me to lead ceremonies with the perfect balance of having guests in tears and then laughing until their sides ache.
I met my soulmate and best friend in my 40s and we married in 2017. I had a few non-negotiables about my dream wedding- outside, overlooking the sea, low-key, and Fun with a capital F. I wanted my family and friends by my side, followed by lunch at one big table covered in flowers, lemons, candles, and fairy lights.
