Hello world!

Is the ceremony legal?

No, not on its own. Couples will need to go through the legal formalities at a registry office, think of it as your ‘wedding admin’ day, a bit like registering a birth.  A ‘basic’ legal ceremony with two witnesses is a short, inexpensive process (approx. £56). Most couples do this before their celebrant-led wedding and leave all the ‘fun’ bits for then!

Why choose a celebrant?

“If celebrants can’t legally marry people in the UK, why choose one”? Having a celebrant isn’t about the legal paperwork- it’s about creating unique, meaningful moments that celebrate love in all its wonderfulness.

Separating the legal registration from the ceremonial celebration isn’t a limitation; it’s an invitation to explore endless possibilities. It’s the opportunity to craft ceremonies that truly reflect each couple’s journey, beliefs and dreams. Whether it’s weaving together different cultural traditions, celebrating in unconventional spaces, or telling love stories that break from the traditional script- celebrants have the privilege of turning these dreams into a reality.

Can I get married anywhere?

Yes! Having a ‘legal wedding’ restricts you to a licenced venue (with a roof!) or a religious building. With me you can have your ceremony WHEREVER you want! How about a festival inspired wedding in a tipi in the middle of a field or a boho chic wedding in a meadow overlooking the sea; in your garden covered in fairy lights; a castle or a forest, count me in!
